B I O

Hi there. I am Jere' Webber, daughter of God, wife, mother, entrepreneur,  TX licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, author, songwriter, and performer.

Songwriter

I have written songs since I was a teenager. Ideas come while sitting on my bed processing my emotions, outdoors in nature, or in front of my piano (pictured).

I love music. It moves my soul. I believe music touches places in the heart that words alone cannot reach.

I believe God moves us and speaks to us through music, and that is a sacred experience.

Author

Agonizing over my father taking his life, I wrote Sacred Nightmare: Memoirs and Movement for Adult Children of Parental Suicide.

This book is written from my experience as an adult whose parent ended their life, and from others in the same situation. I offer insight, understanding, healing, coping, and comfort from my experience as a therapist.

Whether you are here for music or my book, there is healing and connection for all.

Zumba Instructor

Keeping in line with my love of music, I am a certified Zumba instructor. I have been participating in Zumba for over 20 years and served as an unofficial Zumba instructor. I decided to make it official, and now I professionally put music to body movement in a fun, cardio dance party.

Did I mention my full-time career as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist?  My husband, Shayne Webber, and I are in practice together.

You may learn about that side of me at www.intentionallifetherapy.com

Music

Music and Music videos

Cowritten with Jeff Soule, vocals, instruments, and production, and Jere' Webber, vocals and piano.

"Heart Is Still There" was written in the parking lot of a bank, as I had received heartbreaking news from my firstborn daughter. Her story is private, but this song is for her.

Strange Today was written during the same season I wrote  Sacred Nightmare. It was a very emotionally and mentally scary time for me, and there were days I honestly could not see myself. I hope this helps others experiencing something similar.

This is one of the songs that my heart calls out to when I feel overwhelmed. I recorded this during COVID, in response to our church requesting uplifting music while we were all shut in. Look up The Nashville Tribute Band. Their work is excellent.

I wrote this for my Mom as a Mother's Day gift, but she passed away before it was completed. I owe everything to her kind and patient love. I love you, Mom.
